Description:

The Air District inspector found the source of this odor to be a landscaping operation in the area of the Hunters View apartments. There is a pile of compost that is being spread throughout the grounds. The odors are produced during the spreading of the material which the contractor has said will take a week to complete. The inspector has asked that the pile be covered during non-work hours and for the contractor to try watering as a method to reduce the spread of odor. The inspector will follow up and we will provide updates.

Description:

The Air District inspector determined the that the supplier of the very odorous mulch material was Bayview Green Waste Management. He conducted a joint inspection with the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) resulting in the removal of the odorous material from that facility.
