Thank you for your complaint. It has been logged as BAAQMD Complaint #230480. The Air District inspector investigated on 3/9/17 at about 10am at Pier 96. He observed a light garbage odor coming from Recology garbage trucks and a musty odor coming from Silverado dredged soil screening operation. He spoke with Recology Environmental Manager about the garbage complaint. Regarding diesel fumes, the inspector determined that San Francisco Bay Railroad tested two locomotive engines that were undergoing repair for about one hour on the date of the complaint. This may have been the source of the diesel fume odors.
