Description:

In 2014 Candlestick Residents opposed Five Star(aka) Lennar Developers against Implosion of Candlestick Stadium that threatened the health of vunerable residents living in this CARE ZONE who suffer from the highest rates of respiratory illnesses than any where else in the city. Now Five Star Developers are again threatening residents respiratory health by proposing to build a underground garage in the retail center development in the residential community with the entrance on Ingerson and Giants Drive. Carbon Monoxide from cars cueing will have an immediate health impact on residents whose backyards are across the street from the entrance, Gilman Playground where children play and under windows or residents living in the community above. Residents have asked that all garage entrances to be located on the south side of the development so pollution from cars cueing will flow out to the bay and not into the community. There has been two community meeting hosted by Supervisor Malia Cohen to address residents concerns, but Five Star Developers continue with their plans by filing addendas to the 2010 development Plan and EIR voted on by the community violating the Plan agreement as well the CARE ZONE designation by Bay Area Air Management District and the Department of Public Health.
